NLVC. president joins the CEO Safety Charter

St. John’s, NL – Terry Croucher, president of Newfoundland and Labrador Vegetation Control Ltd. (NLVC), has been inducted into the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission’s (the Commission) CEO Safety Charter.

Mr. Croucher becomes the 59th business leader since 2007, to become a signatory to the CEO Safety Charter. The Charter’s mandate is to support the continuous improvement of healthy and safe workplaces throughout our province. As ambassadors for safer workplaces, signatories have demonstrated their commitment to preventing accidents and promoting of health and safety in their workplace.

“A strong safety culture is the cornerstone of a strong safety program,” says Mr. Croucher. “Education and training, along with strong leadership from management regarding safety should be practiced to the fullest extreme.”

NLVC Ltd., based in Springdale, is one of the largest vegetation management firms in Atlantic Canada, employing upwards of 170 people. The company has also been recognized with the Award of Excellence from the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association for its achievements and commitment to providing a safe workplace.

Terry Croucher, President of NLVC, recently took time to instruct the Traffic Control Training to the Level 3 students of Indian River High free of Charge.

They are doing a Course called WORKPLACE SAFETY and it requires some of the courses that Terry teaches.

LVC president Terry Croucher was recently featured in the latest edition of the IVM Access Newsletter.

He is the 59th business leader since 2007 to become a signatory to the CEO Safety Charter.
